Programs at the Senior Center are designed to enrich the lives of people in our community, not merely add years to them. Travel and art are two of the most immediately enriching activities, and the Center offers opportunities for both.
Our travel program helps members and guests live their travel dreams, from day trips to regional sites of interest such as the National Arboretum to multi-week journeys in far-flung parts of the world like Iceland or Greece. And for those who prefer to stick closer to home, armchair travel via classes and lectures are just the ticket. Late in 2009, Senior Center Travel launched its own online travel booking program. With this service, you can research trip options and book reservations yourself—including airline tickets, hotel rooms, car rentals, vacation packages, and cruises—safely and securely online. An added bonus: you support the Center every time you book a trip through the site.
