www.myspace.com/thebronx
Los Angeles based punk band The Bronx, aptly named after the left coast bor- ough, has for the last
six years redefined what punk means, sounds like, and doesn’t look like. After three self-titled full lengths, countless tours all over the world, more seven inches and eps than one can count, the band returns with their latest offering, yet another self titled full-length CD Mariachi El Bronx.

MOLLY JENSON
www.myspace.com/mollyjenson
It all began when San Diego singer/songwriter/producer Greg Laswell offered to co- write and produce Jenson’s first record. In 2005 she released her debut album, Maybe Tomorrow, which received high critical acclaim, and was nominated for Best Pop Album at San Diego Music
Awards. Her songs, which are based on her own life, contain ingenuous lyrics that entail stories of love and loss, hardships, and better days.

MR. TUBE & THE FLYING OBJECTS
www.myspace.com/mrtube
Sounds from the galactic junkyard. Sounds of horns that drift through the back alleys of our ghettos. Pulsing and
pumping sounds from the trunks for lowriders. Like sto- ries from the last living tree in this concrete jungle, sto- ries from the elders delivered by a new generation. Polish your wheels rub it out, through the sounds, souls, and hearts of the youth. Life is science fiction. Mr. Tube’s story must be told.
Saturday: 4:30pm, Rock Stage @ 33rd St. BLUES
NENA ANDERSON TRIO
www.myspace.com/nenaanderson
Nena Anderson’s style could be described as Kay Starr on Valium or Rickie Lee Jones with diction. Her velvety contralto voice draws you in with its strength and vul- nerability. Her jazz, blues, country, and rock inflected melodies bring to mind P.J. Harvey and Chrissie Hynde as much as they do Billie
Holiday, yet they are completely her own unique sound. Simple guitar work, a radiant, likable stage presence, and memorable songs captivate so that you will never want to leave.
Saturday: 6:15pm, Blues Stage @ Hawley Blvd. BLUEGRASS
PLOW
www.myspace.com/wereplow
Like any good Slumgullion stew, Plow borrows ingre- dients from Americana heritage music, adds its own spices, and puts the
whole pot on a rolling boil. The result is a simmering musical concoction that wafts through the air and con- nects the listener to America’s musical past and pres- ent. Plow is the result of four men finding common musical ground, then deciding to break new ground and bring their own personal and shared musical expres- sions to listeners.

Saturday: 7:45pm, Blues Stage @ Hawley Blvd. ROOTS ROY RUIZ CLAYTON & THE NEW
ARMY OF RAGGED ANGELS
www.myspace.com/royruizclayton
As a kid Roy Ruiz Clayton was influenced by stories of his grandfather Fredrico Garcia Ruiz, a relative of Pablo Picasso (Ruiz) and a legendary potter and painter in Spain. In addition to becoming a potter, Roy
developed his songwriting skills while traveling as Ramblin’ Jack Elliott’s guitarist. Translating his grandfa- ther’s journals is what brought Tom Waits to make this statement: “If someone asks me about this I might deny saying it, because I don’t want to hurt my other little songwriter friends, but Roy Ruiz Clayton is the greatest singer-songwriter and actually the greatest artist to ever live, and I mean ever!” Tom Waits.
