Union employees of truck maker Navistar’s Indianapolis Casting Corp., Indianapolis, agreed to a new labor agreement that has stopped closure procedures that have been underway at the metalcasting facility for more than a year. The employees, represented by the United Auto Workers union, “voted to approve signifi cant fl exibility and cost improvements” as part of the agreement, according to a statement issued by Navistar. With the agreement in place, the metalcasting facility, which was set to close July 16, will now eventually resume production.


Neenah Secures Bankruptcy Exit Financing


Neenah Enterprises Inc., Neenah, Wis., announced it has secured fi nancing commitments for its exit from bankruptcy. The municipal and industrial market casting supplier said it expects its emergence from bankruptcy to continue on schedule, with a confi rmation hearing for its reorganization plan held on July 6 and closure on the fi nancing completed two weeks later. Neenah an- nounced in a statement that it will have reduced its debt by more than $270 million upon emergence.
