Bremen Castings Named Indiana Small Business of the Year Finalist The Indiana Chamber of Commerce


recently recognized Bremen Castings Inc. (BCI), Bremen, Ind., as one of six finalists for the 2009 Small Business of the Year award. The finalists, which also included Manufacturing Technology Inc., South Bend, Ind., AllAmericanDirect.com, Indianapolis, International Medical Group, Indianapolis, Task Force Tips, Valparaiso, Ind., and Unified Group Services Inc., Anderson, Ind., were announced during a luncheon held at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis on Nov. 10. Manufactur- ing Technology was announced as the winner of the award, which is open to all Indiana companies with 250 employees or fewer. BCI is a metalcaster and manufactur-

LLC, Ludington, Mich., recently was cer- tified by Armstrong International Inc., Three Rivers, Mich., as an “Elite Vendor.” “This is a distinct recognition,” said

in Ludington and a finishing facility in Holland, Mich. The company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Republic Financial Corp., specializes in castings for the air conditioning, automotive aftermarket, compressor, construction, farm, heating, pump, refrigeration and valve industries. “We’re pleased to have earned this


level of recognition,” said Rob Killips, chief executive officer of Great Lakes. “This certification represents a major achievement by our employees.” Armstrong International provides
