Strong Sponsor Line-up for Frankfurt 2010
Sponsor support is continuing to grow for the three co-located conferences; SNW Europe, Virtualization World and Datacenter Technologies, being delivered in association with the influential industry association SNIA Europe on 26th and 27th October 2010 at Congress Frankfurt.
Delegate registration for the events is now open at
www.snweurope.net where readers of SNS Europe can register for free by using the code: M36S10. Headline sponsors so far include the return of HP and Oracle who take Platinum level positions along with Symantec, EMC, Huawei Symantec, IBM and Fujitsu. Event organisers Angel Business Communications are expecting several more high profile suppliers to join this list before the summer is over.
Gold sponsors already committed to the 2010 program include first-timers Novell who join 3PAR, F5 Networks, Hitachi Data Systems, OSL GmbH, Quantum and Ultrium LTO. Among the Silver level sponsors are several other new faces; Trend Micro, Point Software, Coraid, Virtual Instruments, Intellimagic, Peer Software, Scality, Redhat, Akorri, Basis and Samsung who join previous event sponsors Syncsort, HMK, Texas Memory
Systems, STEC, Acronis, Overland, DataCore, QLogic, CommVault, Bull, Emulex and NetApp plus Pillar Data Systems who make a welcome return to the program. Sponsors are quick to praise the value of the events and the evolutionary approach that the organisers have been taking. “The data protection industry keeps evolving and by mirroring these changes in its conference and expo SNW Europe has helped us stay closer to our end users,” said Christine Bachmayer, Senior Manager EMEA Marketing at Quantum. “The organisers’ decision to co-locate Virtualization World and Datacenter Technologies has ensured that we have the opportunity to meet
with all the professionals that have a role in protecting today’s corporate data.” This view was supported by Joao Silva, VP EMEA Sales at 5-year running sponsor 3PAR. “SNW Europe stands out in the IT events calendar as being extremely well attended, a frenzy of activity not just in the exhibition area but also in the presentation and tutorial sessions. As a sales and networking event, it cannot be beaten. For end users and the channel it is quite simply the best place to learn not just about storage but also about virtualisation and the cloud. The decision to expand the focus of the event was a smart move,” he said.
Even those organisations who have been involved in SNW Europe since it first came to the region see the value in the expansion and adaption to the delegates’ needs. “This is our seventh year at SNW Europe,” said Jason Phippen, senior director of marketing at Emulex. “We have been coming back year after year because the
