SNS: And what are the Energy Star, 80 PLUS and Climate Savers Computing specifications designed to achieve/mean?
SNS: For those not familiar with the Santricity ES software – what are the key attributes?
TP: LSI SANtricity® ES storage management software offers fully-integrated replication features ensuring unparalleled functionality and creates even more powerful storage. With multiple replication offerings such as volume snapshot, volume copy and remote volume mirror across Fibre Channel host ports, customer can choose the method that best meets their utilisation and data protection requirements.
SNS: And for those who are familiar with the software – are there any new or enhanced features?
TP: The new SANtricity ES GUI
is designed for both full-time storage administrators who want control over their storage configurations as well as part- time system administrators who need an intuitive and easy-to-use interface that helps them ensure optimal storage utilisation.
SNS: How does the ‘branding guide’ work to help system builders as they build and sell systems?
TP: This system is intended to be branded by the System Builder so in addition to the ‘one system for various applications’ benefit, LSI offers a Branding Guide to authorised System Builders with information about the process of branding the system that they are building and selling. This guide includes instructions for how to physically affix individual branding to the system.
