LONDON’S T BAR bid a final farewell with its closing warehouse party on 27th July. Having already shut the doors of its East London venue, it was off to Scrutton Street’s trusty Black Lotus Karate Club instead where Floating Points, fresh from his gig for DJmag at Ministry of Sound, was warming things up far too quickly for the solitary air conditioning vent. Nicolas Jaar’s live set proved a masterclass in slow being the new fast, chopping up


snippets of familiar funk and drawing his beats out to provide breathing space in every sense. The night was all about Soul Clap though, who’ve gone from support act to headliners in a matter of months.
