This week, it’s our piano special. None of that plinky, plonky one-fi ngered Italian house guff. We’re talking honest to goodness virtuoso covers of classic tracks like Francesco Tristano’s version of ‘Strings of Life’ which he recently performed alongside Carl Craig at Space.


We don’t know much about Maxence Cyrin except that he’s French, and so are Daft Punk, whose ‘Around the World’ he turns into this beautiful, reverberating rendition accompanied by


vintage ‘20s black and white fi lm.


OK, going off track a bit but we love Gonzales’ forthcoming new album. Then we found this superb blind-folded piano battle between him and hair- rocked Andrew WK. Chicken oriental.
