The entire back wall of the store ismirrored as you would find in a dance studio and to add to the image, a bar runs across its full length and has been used to display their sweat range of clothing. The signature counter painted in lime green is also nicely placed right at the back of the store. This not only gives the shop assistants a good vantage point, but also gives the customer maximumexposure to the brand and hopefully sales too. Further freestanding garment rails complete the look!
The BritishMuseum Before leaving London we couldn’t resist visiting one of ourmost popular cultural attractions to see how its latest store refits were taking shape and how they compare in design tomainstreamretailers.
The BritishMuseumhas an enviable footfall of over sixmillion a year and a turnover of over £190,000 a week during its peak summer period in itsmain shopping area alone. So it’s easy to understand why it has invested somuch money in the latest design concept, onemillion pounds to be precise!
Still for the lay person on first inspection it is difficult to see anything other than the sheer scale and beauty of the building and the fabulous exhibits lying within. Then you reach the Great Court, one of themost iconic pieces of architecture this decade has given us. Designed by Sir Norman Foster at the start of the newMillennium, the huge expanse of glass covering the beautiful courtyard that surrounds the circular Reading Roomis every bit as breathtaking now as it was when it first opened. Designed to follow the curve of this roomand compliment the blockbuster exhibitions, the Great Court shopping area is equally phenomenal.
Small Back Roomhas been working with The BritishMuseumCompany to further improve this offer. A large proportion of themoney has been invested
