Midyear Recap REALTORS Take D.C.! ® The week of May 10, more than 150 REALTORS® from across Georgia traveled to Washing-
ton, D.C. to the annual NAR Midyear Legislative Meetings and Trade Expo. GAR members met with several members of Congress and heard from both of our Senators at the Legislative Luncheon on Capitol Hill. Issues at hand included affordable property insurance, reforming the secondary mortgage market so that financing remains available and affordable for people who want to buy a home, ensuring that the Federal Housing Administration continues to help first-time buyers become homeowners, making the higher loan limits established for FHA loans and mortgages purchased on the secondary mortgage market permanent, and enhancing liquidity in the commercial real estate market.
