Quest, which is based in Staffordshire, provides day opportunities for people with mental health needs. It is part of the Staffordshire and Shropshire Health Care Trust,
and worked in partnership with Growing Rural Enterprise to create and deliver the ‘Wellies’ project.

The ‘Wellies’ (Wellness, Education, Learning, Laughter, Inspiration, Environment, Skills) Project provided 36 one-day training workshops for those recovering from
mental health issues using animals, plants and the countryside.

The project promoted wellness through informal learning opportunities which are fun, inspiring and build the confidence of participants.

There is a DVD available which illustrates the success of the project and how informal learning can have an impact upon people's well-being and their outlook –
