The team undertakes a wide range of practical scientific support and research activities, which are requested by diverse parties from throughout the armed forces and other MOD agencies and have a direct impact on policy and practice.Your primary focus will be to support a three-year research programme examining feeding and nutrition in the armed forces during training, whilst in- unit and during overseas operations. An exciting, newly-funded post has been created within the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics to support and extend the well-established Dietetic service to the Paediatric Department at James Paget University Hospital with particular emphasis on Paediatric Diabetes. We are looking for an enthusiastic dietitian with some postgraduate experience who is keen to specialise in paediatrics. The primary purpose of this new post is to provide an enhanced dietetic service to paediatric diabetes; the postholder will play a key role in the further development of this service. In addition, the postholder will assist with the provision of the dietetic service to other areas of paediatric dietetics, for example, allergy, where we provide Dietetic support to the one-stop paediatric allergy clinics which is of the few of its kind in the country.
