laude D. Grant is an alumnus of Bronx Community College (class of ‘72) who went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in the CUNY-BA Program from Hunter College and a Master of Science Degree in Journalism from Iona College.

He also worked at BCC from 1979 to 2009 as Director of Student Activities, founder/director of the Business & Professional Development Institute (B.P.D.I.), and Public Information Officer, in addition to teaching in the English Department from 1989 to 1998. Mr. Grant is a nationally-published writer and journalist, former editor at Essence Magazine, and is a performing poet with three published books of poetry. At different times he has been a substitute announcer at the classical radio station WQXR-FM and host of a BronxNet Cable television program.

He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and currently heads a consulting business specializing in PR, graphic design, and photography in New York and North Carolina. Over the past few years he has won over 15 national awards for his design concepts and photography at BCC as well as through his consulting company.
