Still providing solutions

EB Equipment has been providing solutions in bulk storage and conveying systems for over 50 years

EB Equipment has been a pioneer in its industry for over five decades, leading the field in flexible screw conveyors from early on, and later becoming the first in the UK to develop the production of GRP silos and tanks. The company’s dedication to understanding and interpreting its customer’s needs, has enabled EB to provide storage and conveying solutions, which are innovative, durable, cost effective and above all reliable. Getting the product right from the start whilst ensuring customer satisfaction is paramount to EB. Automated materials conveying was one of the company’s founding strengths, having originated the flexible screw conveyor some forty years ago and is recognised to be the only system to be fully produced in the UK, with the entire system from the extruded PP outer case, injection moulded components and steel flight designed and manufactured at the dedicated production facilities in Barnsley, Yorkshire.

The EB system is unique. It is totally enclosed, ensuring dust free conveying with no product contamination and no requirement for filters. The system operates at a multitude of angles and directions, without limitation on length. The simplicity of design provides sound, economical reliable efficiency. A testament to this are systems up to 80m in length running single drive units, which have been in reliable operation for over 30 years. Seeing the enormous benefits of the seamless construction of GRP silos, EB progressed into the production of liquid storage tanks, which today equates to over one third of capacity. Continuing investment and research has resulted in one of the most advanced silo and tank production facilities in Europe.

Each vessel is manufactured to suit the specific application:

• Food grade

• WRAS for potable water applications • Atex

• Dual wall c/w leak detection

• External colouring to any RAL code for UV sensitive storage • Additional insulation for temperature sensitive materials

Industries served include:

• Renewables, in both Biomass and Bio-fuel markets • Plastics • Food

• Agriculture • Utilities • Milling

In recent years EB has continued to develop it’s products range with the addition of internal storage silos. These silos have been well received in markets such as biomass and milling storage. Having the ability to tailor make solutions to fit the space available from room heights as low as 2m.

A typical silo consists of a galvanised steel structure with the silo suspended inside this; the silo is manufactured from a patented UV protected material with exceptional strength, in most cases six times more than required. Another feature is the ability to contain even fines during product delivery whilst dissipating the air through the fabric material, this feature also helps to reduce the risk of condensation.

Conveniently located on the main motorway network, EB’s experienced after sales teams are geared to reducing product down time, utilising a fleet of purpose built vehicles specially equipped to facilitate the delivery and installation of silos and tanks with the minimum of disruption. EB‘s technical and commercial advice is backed by the best in modern practice and by their constant ability to adapt new technologies to benefit the specific interests of their industry.

When selecting an EB product, you are choosing a supplier with a pedigree stretching over 50 years, with an emphasis based on Innovation, Quality and Reliability.
