Powtech preview
Freeman Technology
Stand: 6-444
It offers vacuum suitability up to 0.8 bars and pressure resistance up to max. 18 bars
At the World Congress on Particle Technology (WCPT6) which takes place from 26-29 April alongside Powtech and TechnoPharm in Nürnberg, Germany, members of the Freeman Technology team will present a series of papers and posters covering various aspects of powder characterisation. The company will also exhibit at the Powtech show where the FT4 Powder Rheometer will be on display.
The FT4 is a universal powder tester that uses patented dynamic methodology, fully automated shear cells and several bulk property tests, including density, compressibility and permeability to quantify powder properties in terms of flow and processability. Correlating this data with processing performance enables users to optimise powder processes. Podium presentations from the Freeman team at WCPT6 will discuss: ‘The application of advanced powder characterisation techniques to pharmaceutical Quality by Design protocols’ and ‘Evaluation of dry powder blending using Positron Emission Tomography and the relationship between powder bulk properties and process parameters’.
HS-Umformtechnik Stand: 9-404
For the high-pressure range up to 18 bars, hs-Umformtechnik delivers the coupling DVK-HD from stock in diameters 60.3 mm up to 154.0 mm.
The coupling consists of the aluminium base body, material AlMgSi 0,5 F22, a dented gasket, a grounding strip for continuous electrical conductivity, the strip on the screws side and on the counter side as threaded strip with M12 thread as galvanised version.
The alu-die cast coupling DVK-HD high pressure was tested by the TUV and is a registered design.
Kek-Gardner Stand: 7-711
Kek-Gardner, Macclesfield, Cheshire will exhibit its range of powder processing equipment at Powtech 2010. Kek-Gardner has acquired exclusive rights to supply the complete unit machine range of mills, sifters, mixers and blenders previously supplied by Kemutec Powder Technologies. Examples of Kek-Gardner’s range of equipment will include a KEK cone mill and a PPS fine grinding mill, together with a KEK centrifugal sifter and Gardner mixer.
Mettler-Toledo Stand: 9-620
Mettler-Toledo is the world’s largest manufacturer of weighing equipment and a leading supplier of analytical instruments for use in industrial, laboratory and food retailing applications. Its extensive product portfolio includes scales for industry, in- line checkweighers, weighbridges and complete weighing systems together with material transfer technology (Predictive Adaptive Control) which allows for faster, more accurate transfer of liquids and solids with less control hardware. The company also offers analytical and process instruments for the measurement of pH, thermal properties, dissolved oxygen, moisture content, density, refractive index, carbon dioxide and much more.
