Rotex Stand 9-317
Rotex will will be showing three of its most popular machines: the Rotex screener, the APEX screener and its MS screener. If the Rotex screener is already well known on the industrial market, the MS screener and the Apex screener will surprise the potential customers with its new features. The MS machine provides unsurpassed screening performance when large volumes and high efficiencies are required, operating effectively at temperatures up to 200°C.
Specifically designed to screen mined minerals and abrasives such as sand, roofing granules, potash, salt, clay, borax and other high capacity materials, the MS screener provides excellent screening performance because of equal feed distribution to all screen decks, uniform bed-depth across the entire screen surface and the prevention of screen blinding, due to the use of durable bouncing balls e.g. metal spring balls. We must not forget the multiple-deck arrangement, easy installation and removal of the screen frame, easily accessible external drive cartridge and the new silicone seal system.
Vortex Valves Europe
2010 looks set to be another exciting year for dry bulk handling specialist Vortex Valves Europe, with further expansion imminent. Currently centred in the UK, Vortex will shortly
open a Swiss office in the Zurich area to cover its French, German and Austrian markets. The office will also provide support for Vortex’s existing Italian agent, Normicom. At the show, Vortex will be showcasing its multiport wye line diverter, which is a unique design in Europe and proving very popular. Vortex is promising an interesting exhibit to illustrate how the system works incorporating a blower and a selection of ping pong balls.
Whitehouse Scientific Stand: 6-383
At Powtech, Whitehouse Scientific will exhibit the company’s new opaque standards for particle size analysis. Managing director Dr Graham Rideal will also present a lecture as part of the World Congress on Particle Technology (WPCT6), a scientific congress which this year takes place alongside Powtech. He will focus on the latest trends in particle size standards, from sub-micron multimodal standards to Image Analysis standards up to 2mm in size. Whitehouse Scientific’s new silver-coated opaque standard covers the size range from 19 to 190 microns. It has been the subject of a recent round-robin exercise involving examination by leading particle sizing laboratories and instrument manufacturers. Importantly, the new standard has been analysed within the Quality Audit Scheme of independent company LGC Standards, and has produced the best ever repeatabilities seen by laser diffraction analysers.
