Leading lights in the industry are getting behind Hotelympia to
make sure the 2010 event gives something extra special back to its
40,000 plus audience. Visitors to the show will be spoilt for choice
with inspirational industry figureheads on hand to lead, advise and
pass on their knowledge in line with the show’s three major themes
for 2010 – Reaching out to the buyers of tomorrow (Generation Y),
Sustainability and Innovation.
The Hotelympia Inspiration Team covers all hospitality bases and
every focused area that Hotelympia encompasses in 2010, with Dr
Rebecca Hawkins representing sustainability; Sandra Russell, Head of
Catering, Warwickshire County Council leading on public sector
catering; World Barista Champion Gwilym Davies flying the flag for
the coffee community; Co-founder of Hotel du Vin and now owner of
Hotel TerraVina Gerard Basset as ambassador for wine; Andrew
McKenzie, MD at The Vineyard as our master hotelier, David Russell,
Russell Partnership, driving content around food and delivery for
2012 Olympics; Billy Waters from Yo! Sushi lending his IT expertise;
Vincent McKevitt, Boss for Tossed, representing entrepreneurs
everywhere; Anne Pierce MBE, CEO, Springboard spearheading

The Inspiration Team will be appearing across the Hotelympia
marketing campaign in video clips, on blogs and in person at the
show, as well as judging the inaugural Hotelympia Innovation Awards.
Confirmed show highlights include Michael Godfrey judging various
competitions at Salon Culinaire International de Londres, Gerard
Basset divulging secrets on stocking a successful range of wines, and
Gwilym Davies commentating at the UK Barista Championships. The
UK Barista Championships take place on Stage 75, Hotelympia’s
vibrant new showcase celebrating its 75 year history, which includes
an interview with Gary Rhodes as part of its big name line up.
