Treatment Plan Talk to your doctor about your medicines and how to take them. Ask your doctor:
What is the name of my IC medicine? How and when do I take it?
What foods, supplements or other drugs should I avoid?
When will it begin working, and how can I tell?
What side effects should I expect, and what should I do?
Don’t Forget to Take Your Medicine Here are some tips to help you remember:
Sticky note. Put a reminder where you’ll be sure to see it.
Electronic note. Schedule a reminder on your phone or computer’s calendar program.
Buddy system. Ask a friend or family member to remind you.
Don’t let side effects keep you from taking your medicine. If you have any side effects, talk to your doctor. You may be able to make changes to your treat- ment to ease or prevent side effects.
