Stan grew up in south Florida and has always
lived close to the coast. He enjoys surfing and
fishing with his family and getting away from
it all in Hawaii. As one of the TOUR’s staff
photographers, Stan has traveled all over the
world shooting professional golf. His many
years of getting to know the players have
allowed him special friendships while on the
road with his extended TOUR family. ■
1. “Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods hold up their respective trophies
after the final round of THE TOUR Championship, the final Playoff
event for the FedExCup. Having Phil and Tiger recognize me as a
PGA TOUR photographer helped me capture their “winning smiles”
during the ceremony. Imagine trying to get both players to look at you
simultaneously while over 30 photographers are shouting for the same
thing. My image ran on the cover of Golf World (October 5, 2009).”
2. “Henrik Stenson checks out his new locker in THE PLAYERS Past
Champions locker room at TPC Sawgrass. Each year I shoot the winner
standing in front of his new locker, and the photo looks the same every
year. The old saying goes, ‘if you don’t ask, you won’t receive.’ Henrik
1
liked my idea for him to emerge from inside his locker. This photo ran
on the cover of Golfweek (May 16, 2009).”

3. “The TPC Sawgrass clubhouse is one of my favorite structures to
photograph. I love the way the reflection pond mirrors its beauty.”

the fall of the Berlin Wall.
