Drs. Richard and Mary (Gleckler) Barnes
Mary Gleckler Barnes, D.O. (’79) has worked in cancer research
at KU where she co-authored several studies. She practices medi-
cine in Lander, Wyoming, managing a five-physician practice that
includes husband Richard. Richard Barnes, M.D. (’80) also a can-
cer researcher, has served on hospital boards, state medical society
boards and is developing an electronic health record system with
the Wyoming Department of Health. Their medical clinic serves
the largest Indian reservation in the U.S. The Barnes have five
children. Daughter Miranda is a 2009 MNU alum, now at the KU
School of Medicine.

10. Music theater students Karissa Wangberg, Carl Bowlby and Michael
Hephner in a revue of “Love Through the Ages,” a cabaret-style
performance on campus in November.
11. Class of 1994 alumni Lisa (Leslie) Wallentine, Julie (Hay) Redwine,
Steve Elstrom, Candi (Cook) Brown, Todd Garrett, Cherie (Brown)
Martin, Brittney (Fanton) Davey and Gary Stone.
12. Ray Craighead (’77) with his wife, Marilyn, unveiled his original oil
painting at a reception prior to the Sundowner event on Friday
night. Commissioned by the Class of 1976, “MNU Morning” will
be on permanent display in the Bell Center’s Gilmore Room.
