2009 MNU Foundation Golf Classic
“The Music Man” arriving this spring
Campus performers are preparing for a major music theatre
production of “The Music Man,” April 7-10, at the Bell Center.
MNU guest artist and theatre director Rhonda Carlson is
building on the momentum begun with “Fiddler On The Roof”
in spring 2009.
“I’m excited about the level of talent I’ve seen at MNU,” Carl-
son said. “We definitely have the talent to produce this show.”

What were over 200 MNU alumni & friends doing in the
Brownback selects MNU for town hall
Orlando heat last June? Well, besides attending the 2009 Nazarene
General Assembly, they were eating, visiting and going green.
Among live palms, pineapples and tropical leaves alumni &
friends from around the world gathered for the weeklong activities.
MNU alumni enjoyed a tasty Sunday lunch – Florida style with
key lime pie, while MNU alums Zack and Aaron Harris, along with
friend Herschel Acosta, provided their own special musical vibe.
MNU’s Randy Beckum and Ron Jackson entertained with table-
side interviews and introductions. Instead of purchasing floral cen-
terpieces, alumni and friends arranged fresh fruit, donating it to a
local food pantry the following day. Guests received recycled green
shopping bags and notepads with MNU’s new branding images.
President Ed Robinson presented the story of the MNU branding
initiative, centered around the MNU “three Ps” – Pioneering Spirit,
