A
lumni from far and wide were welcomed home to
MNU October 15-18 for 2009 Homecoming. They
came to reminisce, see friends and experience some new
events and traditions. The Sundowner, an upscale
strolling buffet social, the Happy Trails Reunion
Brunch, Affinity Group reunions, the Homecoming
football game, soccer games, and Homecoming Chapel
were all highlights of the weekend. A new addition to 2
the weekend was Communiversity, held in nine academic
areas.

1. Dave (’89) and Sara (Eslinger ’89) Farrar were among 100 alumni and friends
perusing MNU memorabilia at the Happy Trails Reunion Brunch. MNU archivist
Lon Dagley encouraged alumni and friends to send their MNU memorabilia to
the archives.
2. Award-winning guitarist David Smart, MNU adjunct professor, thrilled Sundowner
guests with numbers from his latest CD “Unsung Heroes: Guitar Songs of the
American West.” The menu included antipasto, bruschetta, wild-caught sockeye
salmon and pork tenderloin.
