Drs. Paul & Connie Cunningham
Instrumental in bringing MNU to Olathe and growing a 3,000-member
college-community church, the Cunninghams went on to serve the
church internationally when he was elected General Superintendent in
1993. Recently retired, the Cunninghams have three adult children, Paul
Mark (‘88), Lori Wegley (‘84) and Connie Jo Mason (‘92), all MNU alums.
They continue to promote MNU at home and abroad.

3. Hundreds braved chilly weather for the 45-6 football win against rival

William Jewell. A pre-game tailgate reuniting MNU athletes drew
alumni from all sports.
4. Alumni and friends celebrated with Milestone Classes 1974, 1979,
1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, and 2004 at a brunch which featured the
Marg Smith Archives. Rekindled memories sparked conversation
and laughter between Class of 1974 members Dana (Anderson)
Edwards, Nancy (Steinmetz) Crow, and Joyce (Scharmer) Spruill.
5. At the President’s Memorial Prayer Breakfast Diann (Sullivan, f.s. ’83)
Diehl and Richard (’76) and Lynene (Lester, ’73) Sandbloom enjoy a
quiet conversation.
