Celebrating a Green Halloween
T
he HallowGreen
TM
will take place at the Daytona Beach
downtown Farmers’ Market on City Island from 8 a.m. to
2 p.m. on Saturday, October 31.
The HallowGreen is a fun, yet environmentally friendly
and healthy alternative to traditional Halloween festivities.
Attendees will get the opportunity to partici-
pate in games, activities, trick-or-treat;
partake in a costume party; view a
“green” fashion show and much
more.
The event is an alternative
to traditional autumn festivities,
but more than that, it is meant to
serve as an example of a green event
promoting “the three Gs of green” (good for people, good
for the planet, good for communities) as well as inspiring us
all to buy local, live sustainably and become conscientious
consumers.
The HallowGreen is a fundraiser for The Fair Share
Urban Garden Project and is a cooperative effort of Green
Halloween, The Fair Share Urban Garden Project, Go Green
Daytona and the DBPAs Daytona Beach Downtown Farmers
Market.
