I repeat the same procedure for the second eye. Even if the eyes are far from
being completed, they are advanced enough for now. By stepping back to ob-
serve, I now have a pretty good idea if I’m on the right track or if I have any major
corrections to do before moving on to something else. Remember, take your
time when painting the eyes!!
Next, I move to the nose and mouth still keeping the details to a minimum. The
idea here is to properly position everything while following your base lines. Hard
edges are done with some hand held shields.
I start laying down some shadows to create some depth. You have to be careful
here not to over do it and especially avoid doing some hot spots! Good airbrush
control is important here. Work in very light coats. Remember you can’t re-
move paint but you can always come back to add some.
