At this point I will apply some shadow
strokes along the top and bottom in a di-
agonal fashion. Next I move inside the ball
and add shadows in the upper part lightly
and concentrating more in the lower part
(as if the light was shining from above).
Time to make our basketball look as it
should, I draw the lines of the basketball
like if it was leaning downwards.
It’s time to add the name, I like the combination of one
bubble letter and the rest of the letters in script. It saves
time and also looks nice. I begin with one bubble letter mak-
ing sure it is well defined and proceed with the rest of the
letters in script. Then I will add shadows in the inner part
of the bubble letter as well as below the script letters and
around the whole name.
Finally with opaque white I will highlight the
center of the basketball to give it the final
touch, also outline the lines and the inside
around the ball.
I will give highlight dots to the top of the
letters, bringing down the white like a
dagger stroke. Now the t-shirt is ready
for the heat press to ensure the paint
will not wash out or fade. You can do this
with a home hand iron at the hottest set-
ting passing the iron all over the shirt in a
steady motion. Make sure you put a cover
cloth to protect the shirt do not iron di-
rectly on the paint. If you practice this de-
sign many times you should be able to do
it in no more than three minutes, remem-
ber ‘’practice makes perfect’’
