Start with a heavy stroke and lighten the pressure on the brush
as you close in the stopping point of the line. As you can see in
the photos the finished design created with limited line work.
This is a simple practice piece, but one that is very necessary
for you to develop the line and brush control. As with striping
each movement has purpose and must be thought out to some
degree before you begin. As your skills improve your designs
will change and grow more detailed. Some customers will want
elaborate scrolling, while others will be more inclined to request
quite simple but elegant scrolling to accent the piece rather
than the scrolling being the focal point.
