BPA Baby&Child keeps you updated
BPA Baby & Child will be held from 11-13th October at ExCel London, providing an ideal platform to showcase baby products and
toys. Last year, over 2000 visitors arrived from the UK, Europe and as far as China, with research showing that 73% of visitors
placed an order with either an existing or new supplier. This year buyers from retailers
including Mothercare, Boots, John Lewis, Tesco, Asda, Kiddicare, Toys R Us and Asda have
registered to attend, as well as nearly every independent nursery retailer in the UK.
What’s more, manufacturers and suppliers of almost every baby product on the market -
from pushchairs, cots and highchairs, to monitors, toys and clothing are snapping up space
fast. 2009 exhibitors include Britax, Dorel, Silver Cross, Chicco, Out n About and John Crane amongst the
household names, while the Launchpad, celebrating its 5th anniversary, offers retailers the opportunity to seek out
new, innovative and exciting products to enhance their ranges.
In other news, Tim Loughton MP Shadow Minister for Children will be presenting the prize to the winners of this
year’s BPA Concept & Innovation Award. He said: “I am looking forward to seeing the entries that have made the
final of this year’s awards. The UK has outstanding talent when it comes to invention and innovation and no more
so than in the nursery products industry. The BPA does outstanding work on behalf of the industry in particular, by
ensuring products are as safe as they can be and in encouraging new product development into the market.”
Finally, Out ‘n’ About, one of the UK’s leading distributors of all terrain baby gear, is taking double the amount of
stand space this year. Peter White, Chief Executive of the BPA, said: “We are delighted to have Out ‘n’ About on
board as this company’s products offer a great deal of alternative choice for parents which is what our show is
about – giving our retailer visitors the best that is available in the market.”
