wrong date which is pulled off the Satellite. They told me
today that it is affecting every marine unit and don’t know
what caused it.
If you have any Garmin units, turn them on and check
it out. We have been given a temporary fix for the date
issue. Please do the following instructions and then look for
a software update in the near future to permanently fix the
issue:
In order to correct the Date issue, the Serial GPS Mode
must be changed from Garmin to NMEA.
From the Home screen Select Configure
Select Communications
Select Serial GPS
Select the Mode button one time
If the time is off by one hour the Daylight Savings
setting will also need to be changed from the Off or Auto
setting to the ON setting.
From the Home screen
Select Configure
Select Preferences
Select Units
Select Time
Select Daylight Saving Time
Change the selection to On
Select the Home Button
Now that these settings have been changed the Date
and Time should display correctly once the GPS has
acquired its position.
