Living Well
T. Bennett
Think Fresh Thoughts.
Do you remember the first day of school? The
new notebooks, new pencils, ahh a clean slate.
This feeling doesn't have to apply only to those
who go to school. You can apply it to your daily
lifestyle now. To get yourself a new perspective,
get inspired, to feel motivated, change the
scenery. Look at your surroundings. How does
your desk look in this moment? If you are a pile
person, neaten them up. I say this because I am
a pile person and stacks of paper just work for
me. But every once in awhile I must "weed my
desk" of unnecessary clutter and put things
back in their places, or give the no longer
important to me items, a toss in the waste
basket. Look a the paper and ask, "Are you
desk worthy?" A to-file basket is also a great
help for when you can't make the decision right
away. Whether you are sorting recipes, craft
projects or story writings, create your "space
conducive to creativity". Think of it as oxygen for
your creative juices. Make time this month for
your creative spring cleaning.
There are also many attractive organizing
containers, binders, boxes and shelves on the
market to make your space a happy-feel-good-
place to be. Surround yourself with your favorite
things. There is nothing like a big jar of colorful
magic-markers on my desk to make me smile. I
know I am not alone, you're out there closet
magic marker people. Hope this gave you a
nudge in the right direction. I guess that’s why
they call it spring cleaning. Spring is here!
