nial commission from the Royal Armouries and combines excerpts from
The Koran with texts by Tennyson, Kipling, Dryden and more in the stan-
dard Mass setting. With this are two of Haydn’s masses.

Schumann Violin Concerto in D minor
Concert Hall
Brahms Symphony No. 2
One of the oldest orchestras in the world, the Staatskapelle Dresden, will
perform the final concert in the current International Orchestral Series
‘08/’09 with conductor Daniel Harding. Joining the orchestra to perform
Schumann’ only Violin Concerto, the Violin Concerto in D minor, is
French violinist Renaud Capuçon. “Capuçon is stunning - almost as much
of an actor as a musician, so carefully does he characterize each note...he moves
from youthful dash to naive sentimentality and pouting sensuousness with
ease...” Classic FM
