group was assigned something they had to per- form or do and received a sticker each time they completed their task. We used nametags and di- vided the tags into six boxes. Each station had a different sticker and when five boxes were full they received a bag filled with the things that were sent from U.S. Figure Skating, along with other things. While we handed out these bags, the private skaters performed one of their best skills so the class skaters could see what the pri- vate skaters were doing and what they could do if they continued to progress. As the class skaters left the ice, they were then treated to cookies, bottled water and/or a “cutie” (mandarin or- ange) for a healthy choice. Prizes were drawn and a free session of classes was the grand prize, along with miscellaneous prizes in our kit. After this was done, the private skaters had their own skills competition divided by levels, whereby they did skate-offs, such as who could hold the longest spiral with only one take-off push, or who could do the most jumps in a row without stopping. Tights and blankets were prizes, along with a grand prize drawing of a punch card for ice time.
