Bestof the Best! W
hen we visit our favorite golf course to play the game we love, it’s easy to take for granted the pro shop is full of mer-
chandise, golf lessons are being taught, equipment is being fitted, the tee boxes and greens are freshly mowed, or that the head golf professional has a moment to spend with us.
More than 1,100 PGA golf professionals are
members of the Northern California Section of the PGA of America and they are the ones who manage these jobs and much more on a daily basis. Every year since 1924, this association has honored the best of the best of this group in 19 separate categories. “This is an exciting time of the year for our PGA
members and apprentices within the Northern California Section PGA,” said Chris Thomas, Executive Director/COO for the NCPGA. “Being selected as a recipient of these special awards is a true honor as it exemplifies the outstanding charac- teristics needed to be the best. Their peers select these award winners and that's a testimony to the high regard of their fellow PGA members for overall contributions made and drive to succeed.” Some names may be recognizable but the next
time you see one of the following winners, take a moment to congratulate and thank them.
