Viewers Vote Newsmax a Big Plus

ewsmax+, the stream- ing service that offers Newsmax’s cable chan- nel and a variety of other


programming, now has more than 280,000 paid subscribers. The new data line was revealed


in an investor presentation that detailed Newsmax’s viewership and revenue growth over the past several years, including a 50% lift in audi- ence during the fi rst three months of President Donald Trump’s second term in offi ce. With the addition this month


of Hulu + Live TV, Newsmax will reach 60 million cable, satellite, and streaming TV homes. It now has more than 33 million


regular viewers each quarter, and an average of 15 million viewers each month, according to Nielsen Media Research. Newsmax TV has also seen a lift


in viewership during daytime and prime time during the fi rst three


months of the year, with total day viewership up 24% compared to the fi rst quarter of 2024. Around 8 million people tuned in


to watch Newsmax instead of Fox News, which typically dominates Nielsen ratings among cable news channels.


Newsmax has positioned itself


as the antidote to mistrust in the news media, with the channel cit- ing a recent Gallup poll that showed trust in the news media hovers just north of 30%. The company does this by cater-


ing mainly to right-of-center audi- ences, with programming and infor- mation that “improves lives and strengthens freedoms.” It isn’t just audiences that are responding — advertisers and cable systems are, too. The channel’s advertising revenue


rose to $80 million last year, a 450% increase compared to the $15 million it earned during 2020.

Newsmax Launches on Hulu + Live TV N


ewsmax TV is coming this month to Hulu. America’s fastest-growing news channel has signed a multiyear deal


to broadcast on the Disney-owned streaming platform. The Hulu + Live TV deal means

Newsmax2, the company’s free streaming channel that off ers day- time and prime-time news program- ming as well as documentaries, is available on Samsung TV Plus, Pluto TV, Roku Channel, and Amazon’s Fire TV Channels. All told, the company’s various dis-


tribution and programming strategies earned Newsmax $171 million during 2024, up 309% compared to 2019.
