ach month I try to pick a quote which relates to our theme. I remember this funny saying


from my years living in Northern Vermont. It is a reply when asking for directions from a friendly New England resident in the backwoods. It’s


spelled: “You Can’t Get Tere from here.” Our theme is Emotional Healing, and while restless at 4


am wondering about my letter’s content, this quote came to mind. Right! I can’t get there from here…I leapt out of bed and went straight to my keyboard to write this! One day later, I am relating this quote to not just being


lost driving with an out-dated map. I think of those who are dealing with alcohol and/or drug addiction. Te more I learn about so-called “recreational” stuff, there is no fun or any benefits. As a crutch for stress reduction and relaxation, using them only brings a perpetually-negative downward cycle.
