roundup Human Conditions Of Clay

Chapter Arts’ latest exhibition in its Gallery space is a rare opportunity to explore contemporary art’s innovative reappropriation of a time-tested medium. Curated by Deborah Smith, Human Conditions Of Clay features work from a diverse, internationally-sourced and heavyweight roster, including Anthony Gormley and Ai Weiwei.

Diana Ross

With her new album Thank You released in November and billed as a gift of gratitude to her loyal audience, soul icon Diana Ross will grace the UK next summer, with tickets available for her Cardiff Castle stop-off now. It promises to be an unmissable celebration of the living legend in a fittingly historic location.

Cardiff Castle, Fri 10 June. Info: orchardlive.com

Promare

Screening as part of the Kotatsu anime festival, Promare is the newest film from Japanese animation mavericks, Studio TRIGGER. It’s perhaps best described as X-Men on acid (plus mechs), and a great distillation of the studio’s usual sense of impeccable design and head-spinning action.

Aberystwyth Arts Centre, Fri 1 Oct. Tickets: £6.90/£5.40. Info: kotatsufestival.com / aberystwythartscentre.co.uk
