Arvi Izod, membership and publications executive, gives an update for FPA and RISCAuthority members Security handbook


A security handbook will be launched in January, which aims to assist those responsible for safeguarding physical assets and operations of enterprises from what are generally labelled ‘security risks’.


It also considers risk factors that most aggravate and mitigate security risk exposure, and discusses the strategies, tactics and practical measures that are available for property protection.


Member networking events


Our 2018 member networking events will be held across the UK on the following dates throughout the year: • 26 April in Cardiff • 25 September in Southampton • 4 December in Nottingham


RISCAuthority seminars


London 2017 seminar The October event was the most popular yet, with more than 300 attendees. A range of diverse subjects included insurer consequences of the Grenfell Tower fire, fires in commercial kitchens and improving property level flood resilience. An afternoon workshop was also


held, in which FPA experts discussed the different aspects and ramifications of Grenfell. A short video summarising the day can be viewed at www. riscauthority.co.uk


Manchester 2018 seminar We have now set the date of 4 July for the 2018 Manchester seminar. This offers a more convenient location


for members with offices based in the north of England. Our seminars held in 2017 have been both successful and very well attended, and we aim to continue this in 2018. Members may extend invitations to key customers and broker networks
