EDITORIAL VIEWPOINT
APRIL is always a special time for ToolBUSINESS+HIRE as it’s the publication’s anniversary month. The first edition was launched in 1993 making the magazine 26 years old this month - and, I suppose, an Aries!
Sadly, I was also hoping to be able to write about how our industry - and the economy in general – should be settling into a more secure place now that the uncertainty surrounding Brexit is over. At the time of writing, however, the original 29 March deadline has been and gone and the whole situation seems as unstable as ever. We shall be looking to bring you the implications of whatever deal (or not) we eventually end up with, but that will have to wait at least one more month…

Back to this issue, Peter Brett brings us a report of the FFX show, as well as product reviews on a plunge saw from Draper and a pair of cordless tools from JCB. You can find out how they fared inside.
Please also be aware that we are running an online feedback survey to find out your opinions on the magazine and how you’d like to see it continue. Your insights and observations really are invaluable and gratefully received. So, if you’d like to tell us your thoughts, please simply go to
www.toolbusiness.co.uk and follow the link. We’d love to hear from you.
As ever, have a wonderful month and I hope you enjoy the magazine.
