During the last four decades, standards expert David Richards has had active involvement in environmental test standardisation and worked on every issue of the UK Defence Standard 00-035 related to environmental testing. This report includes several new standards and technical reports related to corrosion, contamination, packaging and sustainable power as well as a number of other topics. Two specific standards are highlighted; one relating to the evaluation of climate change the other for testing temperature-controlled transport packages. BS EN ISO 14091 Adaptation to climate change. Guidelines on vulnerability, impacts and risk assessment. This new standard provides guidelines for assessing the risks related to the potential impacts of climate change. It describes how to understand vulnerability and how to develop and


implement a sound risk assessment in the context of climate change. It can be used for assessing both present and future climate change risks. BS ISO 22982-2 Transport Packaging. Temperature controlled transport packages for parcel shipping. General specifications of testing. This new standard specifies the test methods of temperature- controlled packages for parcel shipping. Tests include physical, thermal conductivity and insulation performances of transport packages that use insulation for the purpose of blocking thermal conduction between the inside and the outside of a product package that need temperature control.
