Digital pilot scheme to increase football participation
The Football Foundation, the largest sports charity in the UK, is piloting a programme to enable community football facilities to digitally revolutionise the way players access their pitches. The charity, which channels funding from the

and the frequency of their visits. As well as increasing the digital accessibility of
facilities, the partnership will help the Foundation to understand where best to direct funding. Initially, 25 Football Foundation-funded
facilities have been invited to take part in the project that sees the Foundation explore methods to improve the digital infrastructure of sports facilities for the benefit of both end users and facility delivery and management.
first-floor gym has been relocated to the ground floor and a 245sq m functional training zone has been created on the first floor. Overall, the project has provided 30 per more space and doubled the number of workout stations. Three studios host more than 100 classes a week. The facility has been equipped by Matrix
who supplied a wide range of cardio equipment, functional training rigs, racks and strength equipment. The layout encourages people to work side-by-side making it ideal for students to exercise together and in small groups.
