COMMENT
INCOMING President John Mettrick reminded everyone attending the NFMFT Annual Members’ Meeting just how much support we need in our daily lives. He paid tribute to Dorothy
Marshall and the part played by the Ladies Section in the development of the Federation and the Children’s Cancer Centre at Bart’s. Te Federation’s Premier
Advice, as part of Primary Authority, underpins members’ Food Safety Management Systems. Whilst Corporate partners, with products, services and equipment support members in running their businesses. It’s probably truer today
than it was forty years ago, that only with the support of others can anyone thrive. Support readily available to members as reinforced by the President in his address “Te Federation is well placed with in-house expertise, corporate partners and a group of passionate butchers on the Executive Council to give help and advice”! Te NFMFT is the only
organisation in the UK, with the breadth of representation, width of services and depth of support to enable craſt butchers and independent meat traders to thrive. n
