NEW HEAD OF SUPPLY CHAIN FOR PREMIER NUTRITION Animal nutrition specialist and premix manufacturer, Premier Nutrition, has appointed Kenny Shand to head of supply chain to enhance their ‘food industry thinking’ strategy across the business. Chris Rackham, Premier Nutrition general manager, explains

feed production will play a pivotal role in developing future value for customers with focused end-to-end management of complex operational activities,” he says. Mr Shand’s role encompasses supply chain operations across
two manufacturing sites, including the newly commissioned Fradley Park factory.
ED&F MAN STRENGTHENS TECHNICAL TEAM ED&F Man, a leading supplier of, and innovator in molasses based liquid feeds, has appointed Georgina Chapman as Nutritionist and Technical Support Manager based at their Liverpool facility. An animal science graduate from the
University of Nottingham, Georgina will help spearhead Technical Support and the development of new research-based products to improve on-farm performance, utilising her experience in farm sales and product R&D. After graduating, she joined Agri Lloyd, working in dairy sales in the North West before
moving into the R&D department. As a trainee product development scientist she worked on new product development in the agriculture, veterinary and equine sectors with particular interest in mineral and vitamin supplementation. In her new role she will be looking to incorporate new research into
a range of added value liquid feed blends. She will work closely with distributor sales and technical teams to drive results on farm. ED&F Man Managing Director, Dr Phil Holder says the appointment
strengthens the company’s technical offering: “There are considerable opportunities to improve ruminant performance by the more effective use of sugars and molasses based liquid blends. By forming a link between research and on-farm, Georgina will improve our ability to help farmers get the most from liquid feeds to improve performance.”
