Colwinston was recently voted by the Sunday Times as one of the best places to live in Wales. Redrow South Wales’s St Davids Meadow is an attractive development situated in this picturesque village. Te development boasts beautifully built properties from Redrow’s popular Heritage Collection. Kate Butler, a Sales Consultant at the development, has worked for Redrow South Wales for 12 years and has spent the past two years based in Colwinston. Kate talks about her experience working in Colwinston: “I have loved working here. As part of my role I am there from the first day of our customers’ journey to purchasing their new home. Tis could mean being involved with the customer for up two years or as little as six months. Te most rewarding moment is handing over their keys and the property becomes their home. “One of the most enjoyable parts of working in Colwinston has been watching so many families re- connect. A lot of people have moved back to the area to be close to their families in the village. “Redrow have used different materials to their standard specification so these new properties are very much in keeping with the local area. Jobs have been created through the development with a village shop being opened, the primary school has grown, and the local pub is a hive of activity bringing the community together.” Kate continues: “Colwinston is a beautiful area at the heart of the vale, Cowbridge is right on the doorstep and so is the coastline. Te links to Cardiff, Bridgend

and Swansea are great providing residents with rural living and city links. “Tere is a huge sense of community spirit here which makes it such a lovely place to work. Tere is a mother and toddler group in the village hall, school clubs and lots of local events which residents of the development are heavily involved in. Although the village is small there is always something going on.

“We have found that there has been a wide demographic of customers attracted to the area due to its price bracket and the local catchment area. It’s a safe environment for young children and there is something for all age groups to enjoy in the village. “In all, Colwinston is most definitely one of the best places to work along with being one of the best places to live.”
