“Sparks in the Park” Funds Support Amelia Trust Farm
Cardiff Round Table, a group of volunteers who spend their free time raising money for charity, has recently donated £5000 to Amelia Trust Farm. The money raised from 2017’s Sparks in the Park, an annual firework display hosted by Cardiff Round Table, has helped Amelia Trust Farm to
upgrade its facilities and make essential investments in vital machinery. Amelia Trust Farm, located in the Vale of Glamorgan, provides therapeutic support to disadvantaged and vulnerable people in a care farm setting. Open to the general public
THE CARDIFF STORY MUSEUM will be joining museums from across the country for this year’s Welsh Museums Festival, which will be taking place from 27 October – 4 November. The annual event is an opportunity for everyone who lives in Wales, or visiting over the half term, to explore some of the fantastic museums we have to offer. As ever, this year’s event will have a varied programme to cater for all tastes, which include exhibitions, re- enactments and workshops, through to Halloween themed activities. As part of the Year of the Sea, Cardiff Story Museum is enticing young audiences through its doors with a pirate themed storytelling session (30th October) in Dewi’s Den, which is in the museum’s City Lab Gallery. Bilingual arts company Dan yr Haul / Under the Sun will inspire young imaginations with music, art, and stories, using pirate-themed props and tales.

The Welsh Museums Festival encourages local people to come and find out what is on offer at this unique museum, right in the heart of the city centre.” Victoria Rogers, President of the Federation of Museums and Art Galleries of Wales added, “The aim is to inspire visitors to learn more about some of the amazing arts and heritage stories on their doorstep through a variety of different experiences. towards numerous projects at the Farm including, the building of a new Welcome Shelter, upgrading their bunkhouse facilities and the purchase of a much- needed sit on mower for their 160 acre Farm.
