Carpentry and bricklaying apprentices begin promising new careers with Barratt in South Wales

Barratt Homes is investing in future construction industry talent, by welcoming new apprentices to its developments in the region. The five star housebuilder is committed to developing its future stars, and has appointed trainee carpenters and bricklayers at five of its South Wales developments. Liam Jones, Jay Aveyard, Ioan Seaward, and Luke Cusack will be embarking on carpentry diplomas at various sites - including St Michael’s Gate in Llantarnam, The Rise in Ogmore by Sea, Hanbury Village in Torfaen,

and Reflections @ The Quays in Barry. And, beginning bricklaying apprenticeships, are Jack Wookey at St Michaels Gate and Rhys Russell at Lanelay Hall in Pontyclun. “Our six new apprentices will spend the next two to three years learning their trade with us, and we’re delighted they’ve chosen to begin their careers with Barratt,” said Barratt sales director Richard Lawson. “These are impressive new developments, and the homes benefit from innovative layouts and designs from

our creative team. I have no doubt our new trainees will learn a great deal from the talented professionals and leaders they will be working with, and I look forward to following their careers as they help construct homes for the future across South Wales.” Each of the apprentices will spend time working at the developments they have been assigned to, whilst being released for part of each week to attend college.
