The Lord’s Taverners Wales Announces Christmas Feasts of Comedy


WALES’ leading youth cricket and disability sports charity has announced details of its popular Christmas Lunches with a star-studded line up, as well as its annual charity cricket match. Hosted by The Lord’s Taverners Wales and sponsored by Julian Hodge Bank, the fi rst festive lunch will return to the Marriot Hotel, Cardiff on Friday December 8th. The second lunch which will be held at an exciting new venue this year, The SSE SWALEC, Cardiff on Friday 15th December. Entertainment will be provided by Mike Osman as MC on December 8th, with comedy from Paul Boardman and Impressionist Jess Robinson, most recently seen wowing judges on Britain’s Got Talent.


December 15th will see the ‘Jongleurs’regular stand-up comedian Paul Boardman take the reigns as MC, with entertainment from Terry Alderton and musical maestros Stringfever. Last year’s charity Christmas lunches raised £23,000 and the charity are hoping to raise even more from this year’s events. Christmas Lunches: Tickets for a place at one of the lunches cost £79, which includes a drink on reception, three course meal and entertainment. Tables for ten are £790.
