A Caring Christmas Merthyr care home celebrates 10th years

Greenhill Manor Care Home in Merthyr Tydfil celebrated 10 years since it first opened its doors recently, with a party for residents, relatives and members of the local community. Te industry-leading, dementia and nursing home, which welcomed its first residents in 2007, recognised individuals who have contributed to its success at the event with champagne, canapes and professional entertainment. To add to this momentous occasion, people attending the event were also invited to sample the delights of the Hallmark Care Homes’ Christmas Cake Competition which was judged on the day by local Labour MP Gerald Jones and included cakes from each Welsh Hallmark home. Te winners were residents from Cherry Tree Care Home in Caldicot who impressed the judges with their swan lake design. Te milestone event, which aimed to celebrate a decade of delivering excellent care was concluded by speeches from the home’s General Manager Mark McCole and Hallmark Care Homes’ Managing Director, Avnish Goyal. Mark McCole said: “It has been a great opportunity for the residents and team to celebrate 10 years of delivering excellent care.
