National Charity Serves up free Tennis Sessions

Local Primary school receives sports day boost

National sports charity ‘Tennis For Free’ has served up an ace for Swansea and the surrounding area by investing in a year-long programme of free tennis sessions hoping hundreds of people across the area can make a racket at Coed Back Park. In a post- Wimbledon push, the charity has created a partnership with Swansea Tennis Club, Tennis Wales and the LTA to help provide free coach led tennis sessions for all the family on Sundays 10am – 12noon. You don’t need a racket or a ball as all equipment is provided free of charge. This is the first free parks tennis programme by Tennis For Free in Wales.

Owain Rees from Swansea Tennis Club and Lead Organiser of the Tennis For Free site at Coed Bach Park said: “We are all very excited to welcome Tennis For Free to Coed Bach Park. It is a fantastic opportunity for all members of the local community to get into the spirit of trying tennis for either the first time or to dust off the cobwebs and try again with absolutely no cost whatsoever.” Tennis For Free CEO, Paul Jessop said: “This is our first site launch in the Wales and we hope to open others very soon, support from Tennis Wales, with the LTA and local partners.

All of our sessions are well suited to the whole family coming down and all playing tennis at the same time. There are no catches, all equipment is provided.” You can register for Tennis For Free at www.swanseatenniscentre.co.uk or email owain@swanseatenniscentre.co.uk For more information visit www.tennisforfree.com
