Te 18th annual Llandeilo Fawr Festival of Music will continue to build on its standing in the musical world when it gets off to an eagerly- awaited opening on Saturday 14 July with a performance of Haydn’s Imperial (‘Nelson’) Mass by the John S.Davies Singers, the leading Welsh professional choral ensemble which has virtually become the Festival’s ‘resident’ choir, over the past few years. Tey will be partnered by the Westward Chamber Orchestra, led by a former Leader of the BBC Welsh Symphony Orchestra, Carl Darby, Te Haydn performance is just one in a series of concerts which will

surely enhance the Festival’s

reputation still further. Choral events will once again ‘book-end’ the Festival, as in recent years, and the Haydn opening night will be complemented this year by the first Festival performance of
