Pladdet grabs attention

Dutch company, Pladdet, launched its attachment range for the UK hire market on its large stand in Hall 2. CEO Jonathan De Putter says that it has been producing attachments for excavators and wheel loaders for over 50 years and now offers its own sorting, demolition grabs, hydraulic breakers (sourced from South Korea) pulverisers, compactor plates, and steel shears as well as tilt-rotators (made in Sweden by SMP). A new importer, Pladdet UK Ltd, has been established. The range

of sorting and demolition grabs are said to have already proved popular, with grabs to suit excavators weighing from 700kg to 50 tonnes.

Husqvarna launched the K 770 petrol disc cutter, representing the tenth generation of such machines since the company made its first in 1958. It is designed to be more robust than its predecessor, the K 970, and has the same semi-automatic, spring-loaded SmartTension system for optimal belt tensioning. Husqvarna Group’s Construction Division recently signed an

agreement to acquire the Light Compaction & Concrete Equipment business from Atlas Copco, and a representative selection of models from this line-up was displayed. The company also promoted its new dust and slurry solutions range to complement its cutting, drilling and grinding equipment, including H-class vacuums with H13 HEPA filters, and air cleaners.
